It began one day as a young man strolled the streets of his hometown of Monterrey, Mexico. Jesse Cantu took in the intoxicating aromas of food being prepared in the cafes and noticed that no matter what life brought to people, it was the simple pleasures that gave them joy. The food and atmosphere of his youth inspired him to bring that same enjoyment to Jalapeño’s customers.
We believe that delicious, freshly prepared, and authentic Mexican food can make any day wonderful. Jalapeños uses only the freshest ingredients to bring you a truly delightful dining experience. Come enjoy great food and drinks, in a relaxing, festive Mexican atmosphere. As in Mexico, we celebrate life, family, and friends with the simple pleasures.

My family and I use to come to this restaurant often when we lived up here. Now that we have moved pretty far south, while we came up this way to go to the fair we had to visit our old stomping grounds and hit this place up… and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly as ever the food while it has increased in price a little was still very good. Nice warm chips with tasty salsa. Though my wife was disappointed that her favorite dish was removed the chili Colorado her burrito was very good. The nacho was huge and amazing while my son enjoyed his taco very much. We will definitely be back when we come this way again.
YASSSS.. finally I finally found a good Mexican restaurant in Bellingham. Jalapenos on Holly near the harbor for the win!! Never have I had bacon strips as an option in my fajitas before. Huge mix fajita (steak, chicken, huge shrimps, carnitas, and bacon strips) all for only $19.99!! Also has the best salsa so far that I have tried in Washington/Bellingham.
Food is incredible, portions are ridiculously large, service is amazing and the prices are great! They have a nice outdoors area and if you’re lucky you can see a train passing by. Overall great experience.
Super cheap, super big, margaritas. Food is good and it’s a great place to go with friends and get some of the giant dishes. Recommend going at happy hour and getting the King Kong Nachos. It’s only $12 and huge and surprisingly good for the size.
